Others love them due to all the benefits and perks they’ve received over the years and to some they are horrible, something that they wish they never had.Here are some things you may want to look for, if you’re a college student that is looking for your first or another credit card.

Interest rate:

You want to find a credit card that has a low interest rate, first of all. Anything under 15% is pretty good, especially for a student credit card. If you don’t plan on paying off your bills in full each month, it may be a problem. So, just to be on the safe side, compare all the interest rates and go with the one that has the best. Fees: There are several fees on some cards that you will find. There are annual fees, late payment fees and fees for just about everything. Keep an eye out for these.

Rewards:

Many credit are out there with some great rewards. Whether you get points for each dollar you spend these are just something you want to look out for. Don’t get a credit card unless it has something to reward you.I’ve found that with my cards I get points for each dollar I spend, which means I can redeem them later on for gift cards or even money towards my monthly statement. Once you have enough to redeem, this is something to look forward always!

If people are talking bad about it and tell you why you should avoid it, listen to them.Go for a card that has a low interest rate and one that people recommend.
