Essentially, there are three basic types of school scholarships available to competent students. Those three are athletic, academic and affiliate scholarships. This form of tuition reimbursement is often created by a family, trust, organization, or corporation, and is frequently designed to offset the cost of tuition for a qualifying learner that is affiliated with the group that administers the scholarship. Affiliate scholarships help a lot of students, but infrequently completely cover the cost of the education. For affiliation scholarships, the students very often need to be affiliated with the trustees of the scholarship in some fashion in order to qualify.
